Playboy - a magazine for men has been published since 1953 by Hugh Hefner who was closely related toPlayboy Enterprises, the activity of which includes many areas of media business for adults.
Apart from U.S. publication the magazine is designed and distributed in many countries in different languages.
Among the photos of naked women, sensational celebrity's photos are often placed in it. Elizabeth Taylor, Cindy Crawford, Pamela Anderson, Danni Minogue and some other celebrities posed for the magazine. Playboy uses pictures of very beautiful naked women and wants them to be quite well-known personalities in the world of show business. Although, initially this rule was not observed. But the editors stick strictly to publish photos of only really beautiful women. I would say the photos published in the 50s and 60s were more revealing, although the magazine never published pornographic materials, as magazines like Hustler, Penthouse, Screw which began to circulate in the 1970s.
Playboy also publishes articles about sports, music, fashion, various products and famous personalities. Some articles are of analytical nature, and they are of high professional and intellectual level. The magazine also publishes short stories of famous writers such as Stanislaw Lem, Arthur C. Clarke, Ian Fleming, Vladimir Nabokov, Margaret Atwood, Stephen King, and many others. It also publishes anecdotes and articles on various topics, including political, although articles carry liberal, balanced character. I personally, loved the humorous drawings in old editions of the magazine, the emblem of which is head of a rabbit.
